The Finance Council is responsible
for budgeting, reporting, and analyzing all parish financial data
(Church & School). This council has the responsibility for the sound
management of funds; to keep parishioners updated on the financial
condition of the parish, and to insure a balanced budget. All parish
fund-raising activities (including the stewardship program and capital
fund drive), as well as, all major expenditures, (both capital and
expense) are reviewed and approved by the finance council. |
|
|
|
The needs of our parish properties

appearance of parish properties can be prioritized. Minor repairs are
then scheduled. |
|
|
The Parish Pastoral Council is a
consultative body composed of the Pastor and Associates, Elected
Officers, Members-at-Large, Chairpersons of standing committees, and the
Trustees. They collaborate with the Pastor in providing leadership
within the parish community. The Council assists the Pastor by serving
as a unifying and coordinating structure for all aspects of parish life,
worship, service, education, formation, evangelization and stewardship.
The primary concern of the Parish
Pastoral Council is to provide a holistic Christ-like vision and give
leadership to further the spiritual growth and development of the people
of God in accordance with the spirit of Vatican II. The Council strives
to unify all peoples and groups within the parish by encouraging their
support of our parish goals.
In the spirit of the New Millennium
to Spread the Good News, the Parish Pastoral Council will initiate and
lead a process of evangelization so that all registered families will be
visited by a parishioner that is trained in parish visitation. Visits
will occur over the next three years. The purpose of the visits will be
to infuse the parish with the Good News of Jesus Christ with all parish
members. |

For centuries Catholics have answered Christ’s pleas by placing
themselves in His presence before the Blessed Sacrament. Time in front of
the Blessed Sacrament inspires and informs. It is an invaluable guide for
all who place themselves in His presence. Keeping watch with Christ makes us
one with God and one with each other. It gives us a new sense of meaning of
life. It opens the soul to God’s closeness and widens our view of life. It
is in paying attention to God that we become whole and holy as human beings.
Participants are asked to set aside one hour of their time once a week to
be with Our Lord in the Adoration Chapel located in the right/front area of
Christ the King Church. Our goal is to have a minimum of two people assigned
for Adoration for each hour. Please call to volunteer your time.
Chapel hours: 7 AM until
